July 2008

In the month of July we produced:
3 programs at immigration detention centres.
1 programs at a prison
Paul’s, wife Michelle, is expecting a child in September and due to factors affecting her health he is having to wind down his involvement in the prison work for the time being.

We mailed out 170 Foundation Stone Classes to 85 detainees in two mailings.

We have continued to distribute CD’s. Magazines and other Gospel materials to detainees throughout the UK. Many thanks to FCF for their grant that has made this possible.

My name is Rose Kamwendo from Yarl’s Wood Detention Centre. Since I came to the centre, in June 2008, I was feeling very lonely and thinking that God has turned against me. But after reading this booklet “Obstacles are for Overcoming” I feel my God has not left me. The fear is gone I can see my miracle is coming on the way, God has a good plan for my life because all things work together for good for those who love the Lord those who are called according to His purpose. I am very happy and alright in Jesus and my life is totally changed now. All glory goes to Almightily God for placing the Family Missionary Services by my side. Since when I was receiving Foundation Stones Bible Class, Word of God, my reading of words of God has changed. I can now understand words of God, meditate on and memorize the word of God and I have joy in my heart by speaking the word of God to my situation. I can now do all things which Jesus Christ who strengthen me and since I read the Bible Class Prayer, my prayer life changed and I can now pray according to God’s will and have prayerfulness spirit within me. When I listen to the CD Fear Not my fear has gone and I can now stand secure in the Lord. He gave me the grace to know he is my shepherd and no one can stand in my way.I really thank God for my life and for the Family Missionary Services and their groups for their blessing for me and people. Simon with Natasha and Jacinta, former detainees, Leeds., England. Both of these ladies were in detention for over a year, during which time they completed the Foundation Stones, enrolled many others on the course and distributed Aurora materials through out the detention centre. They are now living close to each to other in Leeds a city in northern England and are looking to start their own fellowship for other immigrants in the area.
We are looking to set up similar fellowships in Hounslow and Glasgow where there are large concentrations of men and women enduring great hardships

I am praising the Lord too much because, apart from my daily prayer, I can hear the very comforting songs, which are so good. It not very easy to be in such terrible situation but at least I know that God is in control and He is with me. Every morning and evening, I am playing that CD to rejoice me. May the Lord bless all staff from the manager to the dispatching and give them more opportunities to also bring this CD to others who need to hear the God’s love and support through the songs — Veronica M.
